China has 5000 years of traditional culture. However, we must awaken from long-term immersion and neglect to realize the essence of China. Only by applying these Chinese-flavored materials to stationery design with wisdom, creativity and unique inspiration can we show the Chinese flavor. The ingenuity, meticulousness and diversification of modern stationery have almost invaded the territory of traditional stationery. It is full of modern flavor: fashionable, simple, interesting, and cute, but there is no clue about cultural connotation. Ever since, stationery with Chinese characteristics, like rare animals, is on the verge of extinction. When the competition's solicitation team toured major universities for recommendation meetings, the head of the organizing committee encountered the question of the students: So what kind of design is in line with the standards of Chinese taste? Yes, how should Chinese stationery design look like? It is reported that the Wuzhou kiln stationery series with traditional Chinese characteristics, designed by Chen Xinhua, a member of the Sculpture Professional Committee of the Chinese Academy of Arts and Crafts and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Wuzhou Kiln Professional Committee of the Zhejiang Collection Association, was born. It consists of 5 small pieces including ink pad box and pen holder. The front of the pen holder is engraved with the pattern of Ba Yonglou, and the front of the ink pad is the unique Tenglong pattern of the King's Mansion. The shape of the pen holder is a pair of dragons. The idea is derived from the Shuanglong Cave. The 2006 China Stationery Design Contest is a reawakening of the sleeping us, attaching importance to our traditional culture, developing new stationery products with Chinese flavor, being a pioneer of stationery, a representative of China, and stepping onto the international stage.
